How to reconfigure my router-DSL modem?

• I needed to change my PC's hard drive, so I lost all of the software I had installed on it. I have a Westell gateway (a router/DSL modem) for internet connection, but since I lost the Verizon DSL software, I have to reinstall it. I tried to do this but the installation CD does not allow you to reinstall the software on the same computer unless you are a new, rather than existing, user. I do not want to create a new Verizon account, I simply want to reconfigure the router so that I can connect to the Internet. But If I choose "existing user," the program saids that it cannot detect an ethernet adapter, which is needed to pick up the signal from my router. So basically it is assuming that I am trying to connect a second computer to the network, which is not the case. So is there any other way to reconfigure the router?

  call isp and tell them you did a major hardware upgrade (hard drive) and you need to reinstall..
