How can I connect a printer wirelessly to my laptop without a router? Which printer would be the best?

How to connect 3 laptop wifi enabled ,usb printer and linksys wifi router.?

• I need to connect 3 laptop wifi enabled,1 usb printer and linksys wifi router. i have purchased an adapter which converts usb to cat5/rj45 for the usb printer. what i want is that all the three laptop should be able to print independently. in simple words share 1 USB printer with 3 laptops. but there is one thing that i want that is i dont to keep a host machine,i want each laptop user to print as and when he wish wether other two laptop are on or off. each laptop should print from 1 printer without depending on any other /laptop. please help me I will be very thank ful for your support. looking forward to hearing from you.   Follow the instructions for the printer server to set it to a static IP address. If your router uses 192.168.1.100 as a starting point, set the print server at like 150, so it will be out of the way of any other devices. Connect everything, and connect to the wifi with the laptops. This is how I network printers in windows XP: Go to the printers folder, and click add new printer on the left side. Select Local printer, but uncheck Automatically Detect, click next. Select Create a new port, and select standard TCP/IP port, click Next. Click next, type in the IP of the print server, click next. Select generic Network card, click nect, click finish. Now add your Printer by clicking have disk, and browse to the location of the printer drivers (i.e. the printer cd in the XP folder). Click Next, until you're done. A test page should print, and that printer should work everytime you connect to your wifi!
