How can i connect my wii to the internet wired?

Why can't I connect to the internet on my iPod touch?

• I am very very confused. I have a netgear 54 mbps wireless ADSL modem router DG834G v3. I go into settings>Wi-Fi>I tap NETGEAR, which has full signal and a little padlock next to it>It asks for the password. I DON'T KNOW THE PASSWORD! It says on the router that the password is 'password', but it isn't, that doesn't work. After following setup instructions, I typed in a code into my internet browser and I was then prompted for a username and password. The manual told me that the username was admin and the password was password. I typed those in. Then the manula said that I would see a menu, but I didn't. It opened a wepage. I went to the password section (wanting to change my password to a less obvious password) and changed it. But what I changed it to isn't the password either :( The message on the iPod is: Unable to join the network "NETGEAR". Then the only option is to dismiss the message and try the password again :( There is no other information about passwords on the router, and I've lost most of the documents that came with the router. I can connect on my wired computer and on my laptop, but not on my iPod touch (2nd gen) or on my Wii. Please help, thanks.

  ok wifi means u need the area code or password to access internet for example your in your car and all of a sudden would you like to join ramada suites wifi connection it will show a code which is what u need to type in. so where ever u are u have to have the area code to access your internet to your ipod touch. if u had the iphone and didn't buy internet u would still have wifi but a plus about the iphone if u buy internet for $60 a month added to your monthly bill u can log on to your internet anytime anywhere without a pass code!!! =]P hope u figure it out ps ask your dad for the pass code to your house he would know.
