Why did my internet connection stop working?!?

Ok I am going to start this with my setup. I have 2 desktop computers, one which is hardwired to the modem, the other which is wireless. I also have a laptop. The router is 2 rooms away. 2 days ago on my wireless computer the internet stopped working. Since then I have updated the drivers, replaced the video card, ran a virus check, called linksys, netgear, and went to geek squad (where they ran a wireless test and it connected to their network just fine). I have also bought a new router which works just fine as well. When I went home I took my laptop into my room with the wireless desktop and was able to connect to the wireless. This was working just fine 2 days ago, so please help me in figuring out why it isn't working now :(. So far I have deduced that it isn't the routers fault, or the network cards fault, so needless to say I am stumped....please help :( Also, the day it stopped working I also installed a new replacement monitor...but I cant see why this would be the cause...

have you tried unplugging the power from the router and the modem, waiting 30 seconds and then plugging them back in? But you have to unplug them from the actual router and modem and then from the actual outlet too. Then wait a bit, it needs to reset and then it should work. Then if that doesn't work, try going to Tools and then Internet Options and then Delete Cookie and Delete Files (Includin offline content). This sometimes helps too. That's all I know.

have you tried assigning your IP's within the router? adding your DNS addresses might help too
