Why won't my iPod connect to the network any more?

My ipod wont connect to network even with the password?

  • So, my ipod (4g) won't connect to out network. I've tried EVERYTHING on my mac. i've tried to change the password, ive restarted the router multiple times, i reset my network settings for my ipod, reset the ENTIRE ipod and i keep getting the message "Unable to join the network '_____' Network" I know the password im putting in is correct, and i've even had my mom try and help me. I think my dad might've somehow blocked my ipod from joining our network T_T CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME AND FIND OUT HOW TO UNBLOCK MY IPOD OR SOMETHING. ILL BE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT :C

    If the wireless network is using mac addressing for additional securing, the mac address for your iPod will need to be added to the router mac address page in order to connect. (This response assumes you are turning on the wireless ability for the iPod.)

If you have Reset your Router there can not be a block on the mac address of the IPOD. If you can connect to other wireless like at Mcdonalds or a friends house then you know the ipod is fine. If you hold the reset button down on your wireless router it will reset it to factory defaults. Then you can click Start, Run, and type in CMD then type in ipconfig, grab the gateway which will be like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and type that into your web browser like IE or Firefox. From there you will get a login page. The defualt username and password is usually. admin/password admin/admin admin/ <leave blank> If its a verizon wireless router, your username will be admin, and the password will be the password From there you can go to wireless settings and go to security, where you can choose WPA2 and type in a passphrase. You can also rename your SSID to whatever you want your network name to be. http://www.harnesstech.com
