What is a good BSNL Broadband for my laptop?

BSNL broadband setup question......................…

  • i recently got an ADSL broadband router from BSNL. Its working fine with my desktop pc since its connected through wires. How do i configure my laptop for a wireless connection? and what should i do to prevent unauthorized access to my broadband connection?

  • Answer:

    first you have to enable WLAN in modem setup inside you will get security enable option that Will be your wireless security code and network name also. then you have to search available networks in your system select for wireless network and connect it

Ur PC connected with ADSL which is wired. To get wireless u should have Wi-Fi connection which is not similar to ADSL. U need a hot spot, wep key from ISP for WiFi. Instead u can share ur connection. Connect ur PC with USB router connection and Laptop with LAN connection. However u cant have mobility. Else request for WiFi connection.

hi dia, u cannot do anything unauthroised connection if u r neibhour is having wi-fi laptop, it will easily get the signal from u r connection, same thing is hapening to me and i had huge bill last two months, i cannot prove that they are using my connection and to get wirless u r laptop should have wifi connection and u need to keep the modem on and no need to keep the pc on, and to activate is to copy all ISP configration from your PC to laptop then when u do refresh it will automaticaly detect the aviaible network

For laptops, you have to approach BSNL for remote or wireless connectivity. Call 1500 and your problem is solved.

Is it really a router? You need a wireless router or Bluetooth hub for that. Inshort you need to buy additional hardware. It cost around Rs:3000
