How do i find out what kind of video card i have on my computer?

im trying to play sims 3, but when i click on play it says 'unable to start game device 0 cannot run this title no supported video card detected. Please check your system hardware.' so on the answers a person answered that u can go to nvidea.com and download the latest driver for it. but my problem is that i dont know what video card i have. so how do i figure out my specs and what kind of video card i have?

FIRST: Like many people said, go to start -> run -> type DXDIAG, and then click on the DISPLAY tab. SECOND (important): If what you want to know is if your pc will run the game, go to: http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/ Select "The Sims 3" from the drop down list and click "can you run it". The site will analyze your pc and tell you if it will run the game. It will also tell you everything you need to know about your video card, not just the name of it. I do this everytime I plan to buy a new game, works great. Good Luck Angela.

in the run box in windows, type in DXDIAG and then go to the display tab
