Can I make a pc graphic card think that a monitor is attached when there isnt one.?
-
Hi, I use my pc to control an external piece of Equipment (a speaker managment processor) through cat5. I then control the pc with an ipad over VNC so I can walk freely around large halls. For portability I would like to build a PC that fits inside a 1u 19" server case and trick the pc into thinking there is a monitor attached so when I boot it up it automatically opens up my vnc app and is ready to be controlled with the Ipad without me having to carry a monitor around with me. is this possible?

Answer:
I don't understand the question. A graphics card will render any data that is sent to it, regardless of whether a monitor is attached or not. Have you tried Teamviewer? (Configured for LAN it works well)
