What Is The Proper Way To Minimize The Screen While Playing The Sims2 PC?

Black screen of death at start up?

• so this is not an ordinary black screen of death where the pc starts, you see stuff then turns black. This is the worst case ive seen in a PC and i cant fix it. I basically hit the power button, the pc starts but nth shows, just a black screen. i tried everything, PC doesn't seem be loading ( judging from the sound of the fan). I even tried a new monitor on the internal graphic card that comes with it, still no good, so it's not my GPU, i tired taking out the memory sticks, still no good. I think it's the motherboard but iam not sure. I was browsing the net yesterday after playing a few pc games, went back stairs to get a drink, came back and the screen was black. Moved the mouse hit the keyboard, and nth happens. I restarted, even unplugged it, nth worked. What in the hell is going on, plz help me, iam freaking out and i got alot of stuff on this PC let me again say that i cant see anything so i cant do safe mode or nth, I think the PC basically doesnt load PS. it's a desktop by the way. I know this doesnt matter but i updated bf3, installed a software called team viewer. but those are softwares and they shouldnt affect the pc that much.

  either your power supply went bad and isn't getting power to all your components,or your motherboard is causing the problem. If it was any other hardware (cpu, or gpu) you should still get a Bios splash screen.
