Why does my computer automatically shut down unless my keyboard is unplugged?
-
Computer turns off immediately while loading desktop or soon after. At first I thought it was a virus but the problem goes away if I unplug the keyboard. If I plug it back in it it shuts down again shortly. The keyboard is in good working order with no keys stuck. This started happening all of a sudden for no apparent reason. What the heck is going on!?

Answer:
What type of keyboard do you have? Is it a PS/2 or USB? I would try another keyboard to see if thats the problems. Sometime the ports get damaged and short circuit against the chassis. If its a PS/2, try a USB style keyboard.
