Why does msn messenger not recognise my webcam ?

Hi. i have an advent 5421 laptop which has a built in cyberlink you cam. The webcam has been working for a good few months. But Lately Msn messenger is not finding it. the webcam icon on msn messenger is blanked out and can'not be selected. But if i click on the clyberlink you cam software the webcam is working perfect. how do i resolve the msn messenger webcam problem ? Thanks.
