How do I restore Windows on my laptop using an ISO image?
-
I got a virus on my laptop and as I only use it to browse I thought it best to restore it completely using an ISO image that I created when I first got it. Only problem is I don't know the process! I guess I have to burn the image onto a disk 1st but from then on I am stuck. Please help.

Answer:
Burn the disk. Put it in the drive. Reboot the machine Follow the instructions. The key here is to BOOT TO THE DISK. You may have to mess with BIOS to get the machine to acknowledge the CDROM before the Hard Drive.

Just burn the image to a disc, insert the CD into your CD drive and reboot the computer. You may have to go into the BIOS and set the CD drive higher in the boot order than the hard drive.
