How can you fix a Flip Video?

Computer Does Not Start Up When I Put In a Video Card...how can i fix this?

  • i recently bought a new video card.... asus N7600GS Silent AGP 8X. whenever i plug in the video card into the motherboard the computer stops at the windows xp loading screen. this happened to my old video card as well. But...when i use the onboard video... it starts up with no problems.. can someone please help me fix this.. i have been trying to work this problem out for months please and thank you.

    1. Check the BIOS like they said (when you boot up and it tells you to hit 'F1' or whatever key it may be on your motherboard). 2. Check the power Supply. Judging by the fact you have an AGP card, you system might be kind of old. I'm not sure what video card you have(the most important detail is if it is a GeForce of Radeon and the #s that come directly after that), so I cant tell you how much power you need. If you open up your case and look at the sticker on the power supply for the wattage and it's less than 300W or less you'll probably want to upgrade anyway.

Have you checked the BIOS yet? If you have onboard video, you will probably need to go into the BIOS and disable it before you attempt to boot with the new AGP one. Or if you intend on using both (Dual/Triple monitors) then set the AGP as the primary card. Good luck

Make sure your onboard video is disabled. You have to do this within your bios. If you dont know how to access the bios check your motherboard manufacture or read the manual. Once your onboard video is disabled the AGP card will be recognized.
