Can I do a system Recovery?

What other ways can I do a Full System Recovery without pressing F10?

  • I have a Windows XP system, and when I start my computer, it has the normal COMPAQ screen and its says at the bottom= F1:Setup F10:Full System Recovery. I press F10 every single time but it never does anything. It just goes and starts windows. F1 works and goes into setup, but not F10. Nothing is wrong with my keyboard, and I have Full System Restore on through Control Panel>System. Also, I don't have any of the CD's that come with the computer, so I'm pretty much screwed. Please tell me a possible reason for F10 not working, or another way to do the Full System Recovery. I want my computer clean of files and all that other junk. Thank You.

I do Full System Recoveries about every 1-2 years, Sorry bro but you need the CD but tell u what since your on my friend's list I'll mail you mine...when I find it. But check this you cannot keep doing Full System Recoveries like that, ur RAM, never forgets nothing, where do u think stuff go when deleted? How do u think websites execute on your internet (Ever noticed something like "Downloading from site youtube.com") your RAM keeps all these things u cannot clean it whatsoever, the XP has about a 5-10-year whatcha-ma-call-it I've had mine 5 years and the amount of data in my RAM right now is about 50% which is 503.5 so multiply it by 2 its 1015MB RAM, what do u expect? it was made in 2003 its all they got in a comp thats worth about 2 G's, I got an advice for ya, u can upgrade yourself to a new RAM about 5Gigs (Can last you a while) but it has no effect on the performance, now if you upgrade all 3 Major parts of ur comp then we'll be talkin the Central Processing Unit, The Hard Drvie, and the RAM, u dont need an HD screen or a new PC tower shell.
