A duo core processor is best used on a computer that you plan on doing multiple tasks at once. If you don't plan on milti-tasking like say listening to music on iTunes while playing a pc game. Then stick with the CQ40

Turion clock for clock is faster. Believe it or not, my Turion outperforms my Core 2 duo.. also the graphics while are not great, are better in the AMD notebook. P.S. you can find much better deals. Customize an hp laptop from costco, choose the cheapest AMD processor one, and then you get a free upgrade to a nice video card.

There are a lot of different speeds of Intel and AMD processors; simply knowing the amount of MHz the processors have isn't enough to compare them. But, If you want to know which is faster, just google the *models* of the processors and look up some reviews.

Intel core2 is better than AMP 2.1 GHz processor. I am also using Intel core2.
