How do I transfer old psp memory to a new memory stick?

My 4gb memory stick pro duo wont work!!?

  • I bought my psp memory stick about 6 months ago. Its been working perfectly ever since. Then i tried to transfer a flv file into my video folder. (I knew i had to convert but i put in there for transport, not for playing.) Then I took my memory card out and put it in my psp. The little numbers that showed data said 0kb. Some of my files worked, but others were corrupted. I tried to delete the flv folder, but it had files other than videos. I formatted my card with the psp. It still said 0kb. Last time i checked, i couldnt connect to the comp.

  • Answer:

There's two possibilities. First, the stick may just be corrupted. Try finding a PC with a MS Duo card reader, and use it to format the stick. Second, the stick may have reached end-of-life. Dead, six feet under, pushing up daisies, etc.. If it's only 6 months old, it should be under warranty, if not through the store you purchased it at, then from Sony. Look at getting it fixed for free.
