-
Hi, i was wondering if there is a way to copy windows from one hard drive to another and run it. One of my PC's crashed but the hard drive is fine and it has XP on it. The PC i'm using now has ME. When i tred loading directly from the XP hard drive it would not work i think becuse of the drivers. The XP had an AMD and the one i'm using has an Intel.

Answer:
An installed OS cannot be transferred to another pc with a different hardware. Install XP on the new pc with your key.

You'll need to find the boot CD. You can't just copy and paste it because there are certain things that need to be installed and certain paths that need to be created in order for it to work properly.
