How can i speed up my PC?

  • I bought a new computer 2 months ago, a Dell. I notice the PC has become slower since then. Windows takes longer to load and everything is slower compared to the first few weeks. However, it is still the same PC! I already checked for viruses and Spyware which came out clean. How can i speed up my PC?

Have you been installing a lot of software? Try clearing out unnecessary clutter on your hard drive, and remember to defrag it regularly. Seeing as how it has been a couple months since you got it, now would probably be a good time to do that.

you may increase the speed of PC by changing the RAM and also reducing number of files in your PC

your OS is Windows? Some viruses and spy wares are doesn't detected by some anti-viruses. Documents and settings folder size related to the speed of the PC. Replace all files from My Pictures, My Music, My documents to another drive. Clear temp files and recent files. because the presents of such files will decrease system speed.

try reducing the amount of softwares that are loading up at the system start up dont install too many virus guard softwares spyware softwares etc. dont use security softwares that use so much of your systems resources such as norton / kaspersky . instead use softwares as avg / eset .

Click start then control panel. Find the add/remove programs icon. Remove all programs that you don't need to keep. Also start> accessories > system tools > disk defragmenter this will speed up your hard drive.

just download free defragmenting utility - auslogic defrag - from www.majorgeeks.com or just google auslogic. you should also try to download ccleaner from www.filehippo.com,the latest use it it will mostly solve this
