How do you set up a wireless cable modem?

Is it possible to set up my linksys wireless g broadband router and my linksys cable modem without a computer?

• i mean by setting up a username and password so i can play my playstation 3 ps3 online,if i need to use my computer,and i have to install it to my windows xp,will it just alow me to set them up on my computer,or will it link my router and modem to my computer and like have the software and all of this crap left on my computer.i just want it set up and i dont want my computer to have this stuff left on it and i dont want to mess up the router and modem i have on my computer already!PLEASE HELP,I WILL KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS SIMILAR LIKE THIS UNTIL I GET THEM TO WORK!I HAVE ASKED STUFF LIKE THIS A LOT BUT PLEASE KEEP ON HELPING!

  Typically you just need something with a web browser to do your router config. The cable modem should be mostly self-config'ing.. just contact your cable company and they'll ask for the serial number or something and that should be it. Your router you can access from any device with a basic web browser, assuming you need to config it at all. You may be good with the default config. So no, you don't need a PC and you don't need to install anything on a PC, it just needs to be on the same network and have a web browser that can access the config page.
