Where can I find a traditional Japanese desk?

Where can I buy a desk top with intel i3 chip (i can't find one)?

  • I want a desk top because I plan to operate 3 monitors eventually. I went to Best Buy, they only have desk tops with i5, I went to all the office stores, and their desk top selection is almost nothing, I even went to HP online. They do have a 1 computer with the i3, but it is a slimline. I don't want a slimline because I hear there isn't a lot of room inside to do upgrades. Where else can I go? I wanted to buy this weekend, but couldn't find one.

My advice? Build your own i3 2100 computer, it'll be cheaper and it's not as difficult as the name might imply. The reason most consumer desktops are equipped with i5s is because there isn't really a need for an upgradeable budget computer, if you want to save money they assume you'll get a slim version. This also has to do with profits, what's ideal for the consumer might not necessarily be so for the business. If I may, if your local library carries it pick up the Building a PC For Dummies, it's extremely simple and straightforward. If it doesn't, the book isn't that expensive anyhow. Either way, make damn sure you get a discrete graphics card, integrateds don't support three monitors. @coons: You do realize that there are reasons to get an i3, namely to save some money? I'll return your thumbs down, thank you.

Hopefully you realize that the i3 is their low end processor. While there is a desktop model of it (the Clarkton), it is intended for mobile computers (laptops). Anything that has an i3 in it is probably going to be a low end computer, a slam form factor (tiny case as the i3 is designed to give off less heat - thus its use in laptops) and would be difficult to upgrade or to run three monitors off it. The i5 is the same chip, just designed for larger cases. Because it can run hotter, it is able to run faster and do more than an i3. So not sure why you would want a low end version of the same chip, designed for laptops and small computers, when you want it in a large case? Go with the i5. It will perform better for what you want to do.

Why the frick would you want i3 over i5 if they don't offer the i3?
