Msn Webcam Not working properly?

Webcam still not working with MSN?

  • Right, I've signed out and signed back in, unplugged and plugged the cam over and over, went to tools and tried the video and audio set up but it won't let me do anything, even though the cam shows up on MSN convo boxes it says it can't connect to the camera, the other persons cam is working on my screen but all they and I can see from mine is a gray box with a webcam in it with a big red x through it, I've been through a million help and troubleshoot pages and they all say the same thing but nothings working because it wont let me do anything in the settings. What is going on? And why does it start a video call everytime I wanna use my cam? can you not just use webcam anymore? I'm getting so frustrated, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    A video call is cam ¬.¬ Maybe try using Skype.

Hi. I can't answer your question......I have almost the same problem and I need help too............my box remains grey with the big red X, but the other person can see me. Go figure. and like you, I have tried EVERYTHING to rectify the problem. There must be an answer somewhere ! If you ever find one and get yours working, please let me know. I am frustrated to the point of tears !! And my cam works perfectly on Yahoo IM.....
