Is it possible to make Google Voice ring a phone through the computer (like a USB phone)?
-
I have recently begun using Google Voice through my computer, using speakers and a microphone. But is it possible to plug a phone into the computer (perhaps through USB or something) and get that to work with Google Voice? Does anyone have any information or instructions on how I could do this? And could I actually get Google Voice to ring such a phone, or would I just have to leave my computer speakers on to hear it ring? (This is assuming I have no active land line in use and no cell phone. I would register the account using a friend's home phone and then just never have Google Voice ring that phone.) P.S. Please do not spam me. I will report you.
