How to can i boot mint linux from a usb drive?

I have installed mint linux 8 on my pen drive using a third party software called usb installer, now am trying to find the option in my bios setup which enables me to boot my pc from the usb, i already have a dual os option running on my pc with windows xp and 98,in my bios setup i see options like boot from USB HDD, USB FDD..ect, i tried booting from this options but it still doesn't seem to work and pc goes back to my dual windows select mode.can any one help.? thanks in advance..!!

Answer:
Better test your USB drive in another PC whether it is now really bootable. If it is bootable, it should be detected as the boot device when USB boot device is selected and saved in BIOS.
