How to fix cyclic redundancy check?

  • i been having a problem....... I just restore my PC ....... im using Windows XP i been having problems....it was running very slow and when i tried to install programs they did not work..... i run a Volume check and now its normal and programs are running better but now i been try to download stuffs from the Internet like programs and when they just about to finish and to save it.. i resive a error messege saying "cyclic redundancy check" and now some programs that i try to install sends me a messege saying something like "invalid document" also i cant extract folders using the Extract Wizzard thing.... i dont know hot to fix it and i will appreciate your help... thanks: :D

    That error means the file is corrupt. It's not something you can or would want to skip. Given what you've said, it sounds like the hard disk in your computer is failing, putting all your data in danger. I highly suggest you back everything up on another disk and get a new hard disk to replace your current one.
