What wireless router should i go with?

I use a pci wireless adapter on my parents router or modem,can they see what websites i go on?

  • and if so i how can i prevent them from seeing it?....Its not like i go on any bad websites or anything....its just that I want some privacy,like my business is ALWAYS someone elses, if it be family or friends or other pricks at school....i just want some privacy...so....any suggestions?

    No, a router is just a form to get the internet to a wireless machine. You parents won't be able to see you porn unless they acyually get on your laptop. There is no way for them to see what is going on even if their computer is hooked to the same router. you're safe my buddy.

yes they can see everything you see, and no you cannot block anything.

yep..they can and not really a way of blocking what they see unless you disable the log file settings on the router. I understand where you're coming from. I had the same problem when I was in high school...thankfully, I was a little more computer literate than my parents were.

yes they will be able to see what websites youve been on its in the rouder log files what websites you have been on you can disable it by goin to internet explorer and type this in the address bar 192.168.1.1 and the username and password are most likely going to be admin and admin or admin and password they go to the log section and disable logging of websites

You're sh*t outa luck, kiddo. Anyone with the proper software can remote into your computer and see what's on your screen at any time. And there's NOTHING you can do about it. It's rough, but when you're on line, it's just like being out in the middle of the busiest mall around - anybody can see what you're doing. So don't drop your trousers until you're in the restroom stall!

Bull **** on the 'i dont go on bad websites' Tiamo. You're addicted to porn >.> Maybe this will be a good thing for you, you know, give up and move on for a few years until you're actually legal. Either way. It depends on your internet service providor, some don't monitor or log websites and what not but i already know that yours does so YES THEY CAN SEE WHAT SITES YOU GO ON, if they care to look that is. And there isn't any surefire way to stop that unless you know the password for the router and then you can go in and disable it yourself. But even then, they will know that you did that and then they will get suspicious and odds are they will ground you from the internet anyways. So my advice = give up the porn. -kris.

George B is parcially correct, they would have to be on a seperate computer at the same time to see what you are doing. If it is your wireless and you have the security set and password protected, the answer is absolutely no.
