How do you hook up a fax machine to Vonage?

Is there a way to hook up my fax machine to my computer so that I can fax through my internet connection?

• I don't have access to a phone line, but I would like to use my fax machine to send documents through my computer, without having to scan them. Is this possible?

  You don't say why you don't have a phone line, probably doesn't matter, but I don't think you can use a regular fax machine without some kind of phone hookup through the wall. With Vonage and some other companies, you can get phone service through your computer and also use your fax machine, but their device must also be hooked up to your computer and to phone jacks in the house/office wall.
