Why isn't my new DVD Drive working?

Why isnt my cd/dvd drive not working?¿?¿?¿?

ok first of all what letter is your computers cd/dvd drive if you only have one? and my cd/dvd drive is not working cause i think its not showing up in my cumputer but i dont know what drive letter it is cause i have virtual drives on my computer also but it will read discs before it boots up can anyone tell me whats wrong?¿?¿?¿?¿

If your computer does not recognize your drive then your drive is going bad. Try this: Go to Start, right click MY COMPUTER, Properties, click on hardware tab select device manager on the window. Check to see if your CD/DVD drive show up. If it does click cd/dvd drive, it will show you your drive right click it , properties, choose the troubleshoot button. follow directions.
