MY COMPUTER IS BROKEN!!!!!!!!!! ITS NOT STARTING!!!!! HOW DO I GET MY FILES OUT OF THE COMPUTER????? HELP??

if your computer turns on but keeps restarting or it turns on but says like"Disk not found" or something, then it's your hard drive. your computer's fine. it's just you need a new hard drive. and in order to get data off of a broken/dead hard drive, you need to go to a shop and have it restored.

stick your hard drive on another computer unless your hard drive is busted. (Can be done) You have given no details of the problem could be anything that causes the laptop not to work. - no power; cranky noises from the machine; screen won't come on - it is anyones guess without a description of the fault.

loool u must be pissed off. Reinstall your Laptop and dont FORMAT IT . =)

That is tough since it is a laptop hard drive, so you cant just put it in another computer and copy the files over. hmmmm. I would try reinstalling windows WITHOUT formatting. Just install it in a seperate directory, then once your in windows copy all of your files on to a CD or whatever and then format the hard drive. Thats about your only choice.

if it is your hard drive >you need to take it to a repair shop >depending on what they can recover it will cost a lot of money$300 + that is why you should backup your files regularly >if they are important to you

Get an external enclosure of the same type of your hard drive... and access the data via a USB port. Or could repair your system... if the failure isn't in the hard-drive itself.

You can disassemble the laptop and take the hard drive out, then buy and new computer and new external hard drive and replace that one with the one out of your laptop.
