during startup(POST) look at the bottom of the screen and see instruction on how to get to your bios. on most pc, you just press DEL key. once there look for default setting and do like the gentleman said. yes you can also take the battery on the motherboard out too.
psor
press delete on startup and click on default settings

The best and the most simpliest for you, since you dont really have a candid knowledge of what the problem is really is, Open your System Unit, Remove the CMOS battery, wait for like 2-5 minutes, then put the battery back, start your system, it will show CMOS setting has been changed or Incorrect, F1 to enter setup or F2 to load default settings, thats how it will appear it most systems depending, so just hit F2 and off you go.... good luck

Its different option in every branded PC. Let me know which PC u have so that I can tell u exactly the options to follow. Neways Generally when u go to CMOS Settings u have an option of Set Bios Defaults u have to select it and say yes when asked for confirmation. and save and exit. or else u can open the Cabinet and remove the CMOS jumper for 10 seconds and place it back to default values. But doing this all the settings will be made to default settings and if some of ur CMOS features r set by ur PC provider manually then they will be lost so let me know which board u have so that I can help u in deep.

Press F2 or Delet Key on post screen (Post=Power on self test) then look at center down of your screen always there is a short cut to restore your bios setting
