Which is better, 360, PS3 or PC?

To your knowledge is there a PC gaming rig which can compete with an XBox 360 or a PS3?

  • I see people spending thousands of pounds on PCs in order to play video games exclusively, but the graphics on an XBox 360 or a PS3 seem to look much better in comparison to their PC counterparts. I like the idea of having an all in one system, ie a PC I would also use for games, but I don't think a £400 graphics card can come close to a £200 XBox 360. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Most graphic cards now days are better then Xbox or PS3. I'm pretty sure most of are using Direct X 9c or something. So in theory any Direct X 10 game has better graphics. The biggest example of this is Crysis. it was built to harness the power of the Computer. so much so that Xbox or Ps3 really couldn't run it. The reasons some games look better on the xbox or Ps3 is because they are built that way. When you have a set requirements you can make the most out of those. With a PC games you have to make it a little broader so more people can play the game. Take Call of Duty. I think it looks better on the PC. The graphics are better. But I think it plays just as good on the xbox. Fear 2 looks a lot better on the Pc then the xbox version.

It is true that several computers are better than the Xbox 360 and the PS3 combined but the problem with the computer is that along with the game it is also running an OS (usually windows for gaming) and several different background problems whereas an Xbox is running a very small file that controls the OS and the rest of it's wonderful power is left to games.

YES!!! check out the ibuypower website. They are just one (the best I think) for custom gaming systems. I'm getting the i7xtreme edition with a solid state hard drive next week. You can get on xbox live with one, but you don't play with other 360 players, just other pc players. There's lots though. As far as controllers, they're actually better on pc's!!!!!!!! What I love is you can use pc's to play anything. I like the online multiplayer option for SanAndreas!!!!!!!!!!!
