My computer wont add or detect new hardware help plz!?

Well, what can I say.... there are some possibilities: 1. Your network adapter is not correctly inserted into the socket on your motherboard. Open the chassis (cover), use a screwdriver to unscrew the adapter and insert it carefully into the socket and finally tighthen the screw. 2. Your network adapter is already burned up because of your extensive uses. In that case, buy a new one 3. Your OS (Windows/Linux) has certain problems. Maybe some files had been corrupted or altered unknown to u. 4. Maybe the network adapter is already installed (the driver) and u thought that the network adapter had been uninstalled. Thats why there is no message indicates that "new hardware detected" 5. Try to insert other hardware to your pc such as a new pen drive or a modem. If there is a message "new hardware detected" it means that ur OS has no problem at all and the problem is mainly caused by the network adapter. My suggestion--try to install ur friend's network adapter first to your pc before buying a new one. If his does not caused any problem then u should buy a new one

hi friend, Your Win xp OS plug & play hardware detection service is not working so go to windows services section & find "plug & play" service & set it to automatic startup. And also check it that it is installed or not. (in add & remove section) Still problem than click my Yahoo Answer photo's name & send me message. Good luck!!!!
