How do I get out of safe mode?

Does a PC need to have the safe mode on, and if so why does it go to safe mode, and how do you get it out?

    No. It goes into safe mode when the system cannot boot into the normal mode. That can happen for a variety of reasons, most notably a software installation has gone bad, or the computer was not properly shutdown. Usually you can get it out of safe mode during boot-up - a prompt should appear allowing you to select normal startup.

Safe Mode is just what it is, it allows the computer to start up in one form, to allow you, the user a chance to fix things. If normal Windows crashed due to bad drivers or bad software, you could be stuck in a loop, safe mode give you that chance to fix it (well, almost, as theer are times ever safe mode cant help). If you are stuck in safe mode, or computer cant start in normal mode, then you may have a problem with your software or hardware/hardware drivers.

Safe mode is used for troubleshooting a Windows installation. It should not be on at all times and if it is you may have a problem with your current installation. Safe mode only loads the necessary drivers to function Windows and nothing more. To get out of safe mode reboot the PC and by default it should go into Windows normally. However, if it does not you should try to repair your installation of Windows with your original Windows setup CD. Thanks

The general reason that your PC is in/goes to safe mode is because there is somthing wrong with your operating system. It may be a virus etc. You may need to have a guru look at and fix it for you. If you are using Windows 98 you can click on Start, then Accessories, then System Tools, then System restore. Then choose a date when your system was working fine, click on it and it should automaticly revert back to that time and work ok. But in Safe Mode, all of your system applications are not working. It allows you to boot up and troubleshoot the system to see what the problem is. Since you asked this question, I would not trust that you will be able to do it. Get someone with PC experience. well normally it won't just go to that but look at the bottom if its asking you to click safe mode there should be a last good configuration you want to try that but just rebooting will get you out of safe mode unless there is something wrong. which usually means you need to do a system restore but don't worry it won't effect data so amke sure you scan for viruses too

Safe mode is for windows or a driver might be messed up. Right after the bios loads hit F8..you should get a menu with the top option Safe Mode. Basically it loads a stripped down version of windows..no drivers but default drivers are loaded and no apps as well...

Click start then run, type in msconfig and click ok.Go to boot ini. and uncheck safeboot.It will boot in safe mode if you need it but it won't do it every time you start it.

A PC doesn't normally start in safe mode, you choose this ny pressing F8 at startup..

if your computer has started in safemode, just shut down and turn on again and it should start normally.
