How to make my recordings sound better?
-
I have a preSonus interface, a blue bluebird mic, mac recording to garageband, with a pair of Yamaha HS 50m monitors. When I do my recordings, I use the reverb to fill in the sound so it dosn't sound like a recording within my room. My question is how to make my recordings better? More of a professional recording sound? Like this: http://www.youtube.com/user/KurtHugoSchneider?blend=1&ob=5 Thank You!

Answer:
Buy a higher quality mircophone or video recorder.

My experience in digital recording, it's better to record a flat sound- meaning, no effects- no eq- quite room (preferrably with sound dampening) so there's absolutely no echo of any kind. Add your effects after. This gives you complete freedom to do what you want with the base track, save what you like and change what you don't.
