For people that use e bay?

What gizmo is it that people use to do final last minute bids on e-bay?

  • We have broadband, but hubby says we never get the final bid, because there's this special gizmo some people have that enables them to time their bids to the absolute last second. Is this true? What is this thing?(and how much?) Thanx M : )

    It's true, and it works, I've been using it for 2 years http://www.auctionsniper.com They charge 1% of the auction final value By the way, ebay desktop is NOT what you need. It is not in ebays interests to encourage people to bid at the very last minute as this does not generate the highest final bid value. Ebay would prefer everyone to slug it out way before the end to push the price up, therefore maximising their final value fees.

sniping is over rated and doesn't always work, the thing to do is to put a bid in up to the maximum that you wish to pay and then sit back and wait, if somebody goes above your maximum bid then it wasn't meant to be, simple as that really.

Also check out www.fatfingers.co.uk for misspelled auctions - I got a rare magazine cheap as it was spelled incorrectly and hence nobody was finding it on a search. And sniping is worth doing - people sit watching auctions to see what activity there is - if you bid early you give other bidders chance to think about it and lessen your chances- by using sniping you are essentially giving yourself a better chance - not a guarantee as somebody else may have put a higher maximum bid.

Just bid the max amount you want to pay and it automatically keeps bidding for you upto your max. That way you don't pay more than you want and you have a better chance of winning.
