How to use usb modem to connect to the internet in ubuntu?

Hi,everyone. I am a linux novice. I decided to give ubuntu a try,so I install it but I find out ubuntu didn't detect my usb modem.I am using a tenten E220 usb modem. I need to access to my usb modem to connect to internet everytime. How?
