What webcam should I buy?

What is the best webcam I can buy?

  • I've always considered buying (big surprise right? :P) an external webcam for those times when I just need an external webcam as opposed to my built in one. I've looked at the options and theres so many HD options and then the choice between Logitech and Microsoft. So I'm wondering whats the best webcam right now that TRULY gives me a good bang for my buck. Thanks bunches once again.

Honestly the Logitech C910/920 is still one of the best webcams I have used http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104385 Clear with great quality even without a properly lit room. The cheaper versions like the C310 use plastic lenses compared to the glass in these, the quality is much better. If you do not want to spend all that money for a webcam I will suggest the older Logitech 9000 which was replaced by the C910. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104632 its a refurb but for the money it is a great webcam. Get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104368 It is what I use. I paid 80 for it a few years ago, and it was well worth it then.
