  • Answer:

I would suggest you put it in yourself, it's not that difficult. This link will help you on this task. The first thing I did to a computer was replace a graphics card, now I build my own complete systems.

If you don't know how to swap a card and load the drivers, I would NOT recommend buying a card from eBay since you will not know what to buy. You need to know about AGP style vs. PCI Express. Also most people want a new card for games. You need to evaluate the requirements of the games you want to play. This question is a good start, but you need more help.

First of all beware of ebay stuff. call or email seller and ask ?'s second of all putting the card in yourself will be alot cheaper. Its so easy to do.

Yea or try Geek Squat at Best Buy, but they will probably be more expensive than $10. It really isnt all that difficult, but if you are uncomfortable, definately take it somewhere. Make sure you are getting the drivers disk with it too.

It is very easy to fit a graphics card and a lot cheaper than the £60 pcworld charges for upgrades.

Why don't you call PC World and ask them how much they would charge. It may be cheaper for you in the long run to buy the card from them rather than ebay by the time you add shipping and installation.

You should do it yourself. All you do is plug the thing in the AGP or PCIE slot on your motherboard. Don't know which one that is? Run a search on the internet for a picture otherwise it will be the only slot it will fit in. You can't plug it in backwards, you can't screw it up. After its pluged in run the disk that came with it or search for the driver on either Nvidia or ATI's website depending on which graphics card you have.
