Do you think this is a good graphic card for my pc?

I just got a new graphics card and i think my Pc might not be good enough to run it full time?

this has happened 2 times, one on each of the games that i need a shader model 3 grpahics card for (thats mainly why i got it) it works perfect but the 2 times im talking about it freezes my computer and tere is a scratch noise in the headphones just before it happens. i remember once when i started up my PC a message sadi your Pc may neeb more power for the grpahics card or something. any help?
Answer:

you might want to purchase a better PSU ( Power Supply Unit ) as this is probs the problem i would say you would want to go for 500w + or the other reason is you havnt connected the 6 pin connecter to your graphics card, i hope this helps.
