Why can't I get my wireless headphones to work?

I have digital radoshack speakers when i try to plug it in it doesnt work but the headphones work?

I Installed ubuntu 8.04 (hardyheron) the other day but i cant get the speakers to work the headphones work fine but when i try the speakers theres no sound do i need to install some drivers or anything i have radioshack speakers i dont real know what there called or have the cd and do i need to put it in the blue or green jack If there any in particular you need to know tell me where to find it because im really not that good with computers
