Why am I not able to burn files onto CD?

With my CD writer I can burn MP3s, Data etc. But I am not able to burn regular audio files, why?

    i think u shoud go by this steps 1) rip ur audio cd using any ripping softwares like jetaudio, windows media player 10 or any else 2) now burn cd making audio cd selection in nero burning rom software at 8x speed 3) enjoy ur cd

the music industry is taking steps to Digitally protect their CD's against copyright infringement, you might be able to copy older cd's. you can sometimes find software on the internet that subverts these protections.

rip them first then burn. Media player rips cd's

If you are on Windows download the free version of deepburner. Rip the CD and get the mp3 file, or use an mp3 you always have. Open deepburner and choose burn audio cd. You can then put files on it and burn it.
