How do I download more memory?

How can increase the video memory of my PC?And where can i download free memory chips.?

    Now having thought what other people previously wrote, actually there is a way to set video memory, if you are using onboard video. To increase video memory (shared RAM) you must enter the BIOS and adjust it there. Note, the more video memory is increased the less available RAM you will have for running programs. As for your second question, I believe I will leave that one for other people, good luck.

If u think that u can "download" memory, then u should not have a computer!! Memory comes in a stick that can be purchased at places that have computer things like wal-mart, best buy, circuit city, places like that. If I COULD download memory, I would not have just PAID $60.00 for 512 MB memory STICK last month. If u want viedo memory, u need a new video graphics card (which are NOT downloadable btw) and depending on what u want. I also just purchased a new video graphics card (an ATI Raedon 9950XL 256MB). U should research some of these things before makin ur self look like a dumb tihs!

You don't "download" memory. You buy it, at a store. If you want more video memory, you must upgrade your graphics card.

To redneck: Yes you can set the video memory, but chances are it's already set to it's maximum. You can't just dedicated all of your system memory to video memory. And to the person answering the question. If you don't know anything about computers (which has been made apparent from this question) I don't advise opening your computer to add/change parts. But to answer your question, the way you increase video memory is by getting a new graphics card with more memory.
