How can I do a Copy-Protected CD?

How can I get my hard drive to recognize my cd drives?

• My hard drive for some reason, will not recognize my cd drives, I open my computer and they're not listed, just a drive, (floppy) and c drive,, no d or e drives, which are my cd rom and cd writer respectfully, when I load a cd in the cd rom, nothing happens, and my cd writer won't even open when you push the button. Now, my pc is old, bought in '99 runs windows 98, Both the cd rom and the cd writer USED to work, as recent as a couple of months ago,, is there some way I can make the hard drive recognize them,, or whatever,, without reformatting?

  Ok let me get this straight. You open your machine up but you can't get what you want.......except for the floppy. When you try to load.......nothing happens. You can't get anything to happen when you push their buttons. Your equipment is old and antiquated. I think you asked this question in the WRONG category. Sounds like a question for the sex doctor. *wink* MUAH!!! Great to see you on here. :)
