Once I scan a picture on my HP printer/scanner how can I send it via E-mail to a friend, please?

I have an HP Photosmart C4780 printer scanner and would like to send a picture of a ship to my friend via E-mail.As I am a novice, please can you tell me how to do this in very simple language.

Hi When you scan your photo you can save it on the Desktop if you think you have problems finding it. Then write your email as usual and look for a paper clip icon that means 'attach' . Choose File or Photo depending on your email programme. A box will open asking your to Browse for the file to attach. Look for it on the Desktop Click on Upload or Attach Make sure your email shows that your have attached a File/ Photo (usually you see it after the RE: in the email message) Click Send and you are away Good luck

Locatw where the file was scanned to. Inyour email program look for the button that says Attach or Attachments. and click it...then browse for the file.
