Use scanner on printer?

I cant figure out how to use my scanner on my printer -.-?

ok so i want to scan my schedule for high school because... yeah and so i turned my printer on (i have an epson...it says "epson stylus Cx7450")... its this one http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/large_images/211/206709211.jpg anyway so i turn on the computer, then i turn on the printer..which is the scanner too cuz it has a scanner... yeah and then i put my sheet into the scanner part. .....now what..? theres no button that says "scan" or anything. ive never used a scanner or the printer really. sooo can you help? :D
Answer:

Just go in your START menu and click on EPSON folder and select the scanning software from that menu. Ylou can only operate it with software. Or if you have Photoshop, go in the FILE menu of Photoshop and select the TWAIN drivers and then select ACquire or SCAN. It will turn the light on automatically. :)
