Is there any scanning software that I can use to determine the output file size instead of the image size?
-
The size of the output image is of no importance, however I need all my scans to end up being between 4.5 and 4.9mb in size. It's pain to have to go thru all my scans individually and adjust their size manually using a graphic program to get the file size to be within the size I need, as I scan about 50 items a day. I would prefer software that worked with a HP Photosmart Plus printer.

Answer:
IF you're talking about scanning documents you can set the scan mdoe to TEXT which will provide the smallest filesize by default.........
