How to print very large documents?

How to? Want to scan documents to word; type on them (fill in blanks) and than print them.?

  • How - do I do it? I have several documents that I need to complete for Social Security. I would like to put the documents on the computer, type on the documents or fill out the documents and than print them out for submission to Social Security Administration. These documents are not in the SS forms list and have bar codes on them so quality is important. How do I do it?

  • Answer:

If you have Adobe Acrobat Writer you can scan in the docs, and insert text boxes. It won't work if you have only the Reader, which is what most users have (free download). EDIT: I wouldn't recommend OCR'ing a government document. They're mostly tables, and OCR'ing it just makes a huge mess in Word. Believe me I've tried.

You need a scanner with OCR (optical character recognition) software. This will scan the document and send it to word for editing. Most modern day scanners have this technology, some older ones do not. It's fairly easy to do and user friendly, just follow the on-screen steps when you open up the scanner software on your pc. Hope this helps.

scan it, select all, copy and paste to a word document.
