Where did my printer icon on contacts go?

My MP145 Printer/Scanner, is not scanning . It keeps giving error code 2,114,0.?

• My MP145 Printer/Scanner, is not scanning . It keeps giving error code 2,114,0.? The Scanner has not worked since the printer ran out of ink. I clicked on the Navigator icon and pressed preview or scan, then the scan gear box comes up with the message “printer maintenance in progress, scan after it is complete – code 2,114,0”. Im guessing It has to do with the printer not having Ink. I also don't have the ink cartridges in since they were empty I threw them away. I guess Im going to have to go buy one just to use the scanner. I tried printing and the same error code comes up.   Sounds like you will have to get the ink cartridges for your printer to register and fix itself. In the future, when you run out of ink, take the cartridges to an Office Supply store. (such as Office Max, Office Depot) They will more often give you credit for the returned cartridges. Not much, but $2 or $3 per empty cartridge return. They will not give you money back, however they will give you store credit. When you are ready to buy your cartridges, you would get a discount. Also, look in your area for Cartridge refilling stores. They work the same way but save you more money. Hope this helps!
