I'm looking to buy an all in one photo scanner printer w/ or w/o fax.Can you recommend a brand from experience?

I was just researching scanners and looked up my all-in-one at same time. I have Canon Pixma MP160. Only around $89. Ink runs out fairly quick if used alot. There are newer better models out now (Mines at least 3 years old). It has done all I ever needed. Simple to attach to email etc. The Canon website has testimonials and very good feedback from other owners. I recommend going to their website. It also depends on the quality you are looking for (eg. dpi rating; mine 600x1200-- the scanner I'm looking at 4800x9600 dpi, think of like TV resolution eg. 1080p)--good luck.

I bought an Epson Stylus NX515. It was fairly inexpensive ($100), has ethernet and Wi-Fi network connectivity, USB port, memory card slots, and fast printing speeds. I like it because I put it in a bedroom, by itself. It's connected via WiFi and everything still functions with it (including the ability to use the card reader as a network drive). Print quality is good, prints come out very fast, scans look great (and can be heavily tweaked by the driver software), and the unit is quiet.
