How do I remove MyWebSearch?

How can I remove mywebsearch toolbar?

  • I've tried to go to add/remove programs and delete it already but it says: "Error Loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\e.bin\wmsbar.dl… The specified module could not be found. Soo, i tried finding the file and deleting it but I cant. It always says error to the files im supposed to delete, or something like, "it may already be running" I've tried scanning my computer twice with superantispyware. I've rebooted many times, as well. I'm not really an expert at computers soo I don't know what it means to run "Hijack" or whatever that is. It has messed up my computer extremely, and I really wanna get rid of it. =\

Make sure it is not running in your tool bar if it is shut it down then go to the control panel add/remove programs and try to remove it. If that doesn't work try it in safe mode.

I'm assuming that you have run into one of those wonderful hijacking malwares out there. Depends on how stubborn it is in what it'll take to get it out. The dirtiest, fastest cheapest way is to wipe out your hard drive and do a system recovery using the recovery discs that came with your computer. If HP or Compaq The recovery disc is part of your hard drive (D: drive to be exact. Tap the F12 key While the computer is starting to get to it) Save what you can (pics music whatever) on a jump drive (thumb drive, smart drive, etc). Then do a destuctive recovery (reformat C:). After you are done go online and get 1) updates for Windows This may take a few hours to get the more important ones. 2) Windows Defender 3) Go to www.download.com and download AVG. 4)Turn off your computer and turn it back on. While it is booting up keep tapping the F8 Key. When you get to safe mode click on the start button, click on the control panel, click on user,click on ADMINISTRATOR and select add password.
