How can I scan pictures from my copier to my computer?

How do I scan documents to my computer?

  • I know how to scan things, but when I open up the scanner file from the control panel, it only gives optiions for scanning pictures but never lets you save anything to where you can access it.... ... there's a couple things I'd like to scan and save as documents but I don't know how... my computer is an eMachine and my scanner is a HP PSC 1401 all-in-one (printer/copier/scanner)

  • Answer:

download and install the latest printer software/driver for your computer's operating system at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=1103491&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit.y=7&submit.x=4&lang=en&cc=us have you tried the scanner and camera wizard? click start, click printers and faxes, click scanners and cameras, double click on scanner image device (scanner and camera wizard pops up) follw instructions from there. good luck!

did you install all the software that came with your printer, or only the driver? Because I hat no issues with my 1301, but I used their (admittedly bloated), software to tell it where to save the scans. Oh, yea, it'll preview the scan, but you have to tell it to scan. So it'll look at your document twice before you can save it.
